Özet:

The impacts of globalization on poverty and global peace continue to be severely debated. According to the global public goods approach which is one of the most popular theoretical explanation about global coordination, it is necessary to carry out global cooperation on the decisions of production and distribution of goods and services that exceed the national boundaries, such as poverty and security. With this approach, the aim of this study is to examine the relationship between globalization, poverty and global peace using comprehensive globalization (KOF), global peace (GPI) and poverty (HDI) index data for the 2007-2014 period of 120 countries, and by the help of traditional panel data analysis such as correlation, regression and causality. According to the results of the analysis, globalization reduces poverty and provides a positive contribution to global peace. On the other hand, decreasing the poverty level of countries increases global peace. According to these results, alleviating poverty and ensuring global peace, it can be stated that countries need to take economic, social and political measures that enhance global cooperation.
