The main aim of this study is to determine the argumantation level and informal reasoning of gifted students by means of the scenarios related to socio scientific issues. The subject of the study includes 15 secondary school students attending Science and Art Center located in West Blacksea. In the first two weeks of this case study students are informed about the argumentation. In the following four weeks students are conducted four group discussions about the socio scientific issues prepared by the researchers and then each week they asked to write a comprehensive argument that shows their points of view. Content analysis was utilized in order to analyse students’ written argument. The results of the study show that both students’argumentation level and their informal reasoning changed although duration of the study is short.
