Spatial ability involves skills such as moving an object or a visual image, transforming it into another shape and seeing it from different perspectives in the mind. This research intends to study the spatial abilities of teacher candidates in Math, Art, Science and Classroom teaching departments with respect to age, gender, success in Mathematics, field of study and preschool education background. This is a quantitative research in which relational screening model is preferred. The study group of the research is formed by criterion sampling method and it consists of 192 teacher candidates studying in primary school Mathematics, painting-handicrafts, classroom teaching or computer and instructional technologies department of a state university in Tokat province. The Spatial Visualization Test developed by Yüksel (2017) is used in the data collection process of the research. The test consists of 27 items, involving mental rotation and mental folding problems. According to the findings, the teacher candidates presented moderate level success in Spatial Visualization Test.
