Abstract:

Nazım Hikmet who broke new ground to Turkish literature in terms of form and theme is one of the important poems of Republic Period. In his poem, the customary rhyme scheme disappeared, and internal rhyme scheme has replaced it. In this internal rhyme scheme, the words which are giving similar sounds according to certain architectural necessity- are interspersed throughout poem. The poems of Nazım Hikmet whose works were begun to translate into Persian since 1967 attracted the attention of Ahmad Shamloo who is the prominent poets of Persian modern poetry. Ahmad Shamloo, who is one of the few pioneers poets of Modern Persian Literature, impressed deeply when he hears Nazım Hikmet’s poem firstly, although he does not know Turkish. Shamloo began to understand the features of Nazım’s poem after he listened the explanations about Nazım’s poem by Samin Baghcheban The Persian poem confesses that he had begun to explore his own language’s characteristic better when he met Nazım Hikmet’s poem. In the study, it will be put forwarded how Nazım Hikmet’s poem impacted Ahmad Shamloo’s poem and the poems of the both poets are compared in terms of form
