Özet:

The Ottoman Empire lost its territories, including the Crimea to a large extent in the north of Black Sea during the wars among the years 1768-1774. On the other hand, the Russians caused to damage Ottoman both in land and at sea by setting fire to Ottoman Navy in Cesme after going into the Mediterranean Sea by the assistance of the English. The Sublime Porte had to take some precautions on the eve of forthcoming war which would begin against a concealed alliance between Austria and Russia for the purpose of dividing and sharing the land of the Ottoman Empire, in order to win the war and take back the Crimea. One of the precautions was to have pecuniary assistance from Morocco which is an Islamic country and to get a promise out of them for blocking the Gibraltar Strait against the Russian battleships so that they would not encounter an incident like the Cesme Disaster. On the other hand, Seyyid Ismail Efendi was sent to Morocco as an embassador to settle the conflict between Morocco and Algeria which was dependent on the Ottomans, in the years 1785-1786. Another embassador Ahmed Azmi Efendi was also sent to Morocco to request military aid and to get the Gibraltar Strait under control in the years 1787-1788. This paper includes Ahmed Azmi Efendi who were sent Morocco as an embassador, the gifts which were sent to the Morroccan Shariff, the general state of Morocco, impressions of the embassador relating to the Moroccan Shariff, Moroccan Shariff ‘s complaint about Algerians, and the aids to which the Ottoman Empire requested from Morocco
