Abstract:

There are some worths of a nation which are the national worths of that nation; in fact these worths are living style and thoughts of a nation which have been approved by the members of the nation. Especially in the years of the First World War and in the periods after this war Turkish nation have need more than every time to remember and to keep the national worths on the becoming nation road. Ömer Seyfettin who is a conscious intellectual of this period and has been known with the stories, has studied the national worths of Turkish nation and has tried to transport these worths to the society by his poems. According to Ömer Seyfettin the ideal man in the society has a good morality. The ideal man loves his family and keeps it. He is dependent upon his religion. He is a hero and hardworking. Ömer Seyfettin has also studied the concepts as language, history, identity and so on which are the national worths of Turkish nation. He has placed these worths in his poems. As a result Ömer Seyfettin has tried to remind the national worths to society. Because according to Ömer Seyfettin the people which can not comprehend the importance of all these worths can not reach the becoming nation conscious
