The purpose of this study is to determine the problems faced by teachers in the implementation of the current physics curriculum. In this study carried out within the context of the case study approach, interviews were conducted with eighteen physics teachers working in schools affiliated to MoNE in Giresun. The interviews were held in the spring semester of 2016-2017 academic year. The data obtained from the interviews were analyzed by content analysis. Results of this research, it was determined that the teachers who participated in the study encountered problems such as inadequate teaching hours in general, intensification of physical subjects in the 11th class, and lack of classrooms suitable to contemporary teaching methods in implementing the inquiry based curricula. In this context, researchers have made some suggestions at the point of overcoming the identified problems.
