Özet:

One of the major problems of the 21st century in the world and the atmosphere is the variability of the climate events and the negative impacts these changes bring about. For this reason, studies dealing with climate changes and their impact have an increasing significance. That is why various statistical methods and the areal and temporal distributional trends of precipitation in Acıgöl Watershed which is one of the arid areas in our country have been studied. The methods which have been used include novelties regarding modern day science. A contour Plot analysis has been used in order to measure the areal distribution and change of precipitation while Interactive 3D surface analysis was used to measure the impact of the factors which contributed to the dispersion of precipitation in the area. Quadratic trend analysis was used to determine future trends while Geographical Information Systems Interpolation analysis was used to map the acquired data. It was determined that all analysis work regarding precipitation in the area was consistent within itself and that a decrease in precipitation was observed throughout the watershed. The decrease in precipitation was observed to be higher on the bed of the watershed (approximately 40 mm: 1975-2007) and less in mountainous areas (approximately 30 mm: 1975-2007). The decreasing trend is expected to continue in the future and the amount is expected to decrease to around 35 mm by 2020.   Keywords: Acıgöl Watershed, Trend, Interactive 3D Analysis, Interpolation, Precipitation.
