Abstract:

 The aim of this study is to reveal female image according to students’ opinion.  For this purpose within the context research focused on the female figure in history education. In this study, quantitative research method was used. The sample of the study is consisting of Arpacay County Anatolian High School students. According to the results of the study shows that female figures in history education according to gender, and grade level of the students' perspectives, significant differences were obtained. The answers of the students in terms of parents’ educational level were not found significant difference.  In terms of the image of women in textbook provide positive role models for a student that is very important. One result of this research, the successful women who be transferred to the next generation, said to be effective forming of today's woman image.   Today while building the women image of history emerges as a need to be utilized
