The purpose of this study is the investigation of high school guidance counselors' opinions in terms of crime types and the contribution to other studies to be done. The study is done with phenomenological pattern as qualitative approach. Data obtained through semi-structured interviews were analyzed by employing constant comparison method within the frame of qualitative research and 7 questions were asked in semi-structured interview form. The school guidace teachers’ opinions about family, school management, classroom guidance teachers and legal arrangements have been asked. The data have been analyzed with constant comparison method which has been used oftenly in qualitative research. As a result of the analyze, it is found that there is not a cooperation between school, family, and student for neither prevention of crime nor after the crime; current laws are not enough for new types of crime and schol guidance counselors find themselves incompetent in terms of intervention and prevention of the crime. At the end, some suggestions are made as focusing on preventive work, organizing workshops for school managers and classroom guidance teachers, increasing cooperation for prevention and after the crime, trainings and legal arrengements needed especially for current crime types and also the process should be taken as a whole with family, school and the adolescent.
