Baby gym ebeveynlerin ve çocuklarının birlikte katıldığı rekreasyonel bir faaliyet türüdür. Dolayısıyla ebeveynler de boş zamanlarının bir bölümünü baby gym aktiviteleri ile geçirmektedir. Bu araştırmanın amacı çocukları baby gym aktivitelerine katılan ebeveynlerin rekreasyon fayda düzeylerinin incelenmesidir. Araştırmada Akgül ve Ertüzün’ün 2015 yılında geçerlik güvenirlik çalışması yaparak Türkçe versiyonunu geliştirdikleri “Rekreasyon Fayda Ölçeği” kullanılmıştır. Bu araştırma kapsamında Cronbach Alpha katsayısı .93 olarak bulunmuştur.Araştırmanın örneklem grubunu Ankara ilindeki özel cimnastik salonlarından tesadüfi örneklem yoluyla seçilen 3-5 yaş arası 200 çocuğun ebeveynleri oluşturmuştur. Araştırmada ebeveynlerin rekreasyon fayda ölçeği puanlarının çocuk ile yakınlık derecesi, çocuğun cinsiyeti, ebeveynlerin cinsiyeti, ebeveynlerin medeni hali ve ebeveynlerin boş zamanlarını verimli kullanmalarına dair değişkenlerine göre değişip değişmediği Bağımsız Tek Örneklem T testi ile test edilmiş, ebeveynlerin rekreasyon fayda ölçeği puanlarının çocuğun yaşı, ebeveynlerin yaşı, ebeveynlerin algıladıkları gelir düzeyi değişkenleri göre değişip değişmediği Tek Yönlü Varyans Analizi (ANOVA) ile test edilmiştir. Elde edilen bulgulara göre; ebeveynlerin çocuk ile yakınlık derecesi, çocuğun cinsiyeti, ebeveynlerin cinsiyeti değişkenleri ile rekreasyon fayda düzeyi arasında istatistiksel olarak anlamlı bir fark bulunamamışken, ebeveynlerin medeni hali, ebeveynlerin algıladıkları gelir seviyeleri, ebeveynlerin boş zamanlarını verimli kullanmalarına dair değişkenler ile rekreasyon fayda düzeyi arasında istatistiksel olarak anlamlı ilişkiler saptanmıştır. Sonuç olarak çocuklarıyla beraber baby gym aktivitelerine katılan ebeveynlerden evli olanların, algılanan gelir düzeyi orta olanların, boş zamanlarını verimli kullandıklarını ifade eden ebeveynlerin boş zamanlarını geçirdikleri rekreatif etkinliklerden elde ettikleri fayda düzeylerini daha yüksek buldukları araştırma sonucunda elde edilmiştir.
Baby gym is a recreational activity that parents and children attend together. Thus, parents spend their part of leisure time by attending in baby gym activities. The aim of this study is examination of recreation benefit of parents participating in baby gym activities. The data were obtained by the "Recreation Benefit Scale" which was examined for reliability and validity, and developed a Turkish version by Cronbach's alpha coefficient value is found .93 for this study. The sample group of the research consists of participations who attended baby gym activities in private gymnastic center from 3-5 year old child's 200 parents were chosen randomly in Ankara. In analysis of the study t-test is used to determine the parents relationship with the child, gender of child, gender of parents, marital status of parents and efficient using of leisure effect of recreation benefit levels, while One Way Variance Analysis (ANOVA) is used to determine differences of age of child, age of parents, percieved income level variables' effect on recreation benefit level. The results of this study indicated that; there are no statistical significant differences between parents relationship with the child variable, gender of child, gender of parents and recreation benefit scale. There are significant relationships between marital status of parents, percieved income level, efficient using of leisure variables and recreation benefit scale. As result; the married parents who attend baby gym activities with their child, who have medium percieved income level and who use their lesiure efficient have more recreation benefit.
