Cyprus in the 19th century was place where was followed by many foreign states such as Russia, UK, France, USA. The geography of Cyprus has been a focus point that competitiveness between Russia and UK by means of San Stefane and Berlin treaties which signed after Ottoman-Russian War (1877-1878). During this period, Ottoman Empire, which was not enable to prevent social political events though almost all precautions, was ekposed to diplomatical treats ve pressures from western countries. In this situation, some Christians including, at first, Armenian with courage from some European states displayed destructive activities in various parts of Ottoman. In this article, the diplomatic developments and their outcomes related to Cyprus during the period Abdülhamid II were attempted to be discussed.
