Abstract:

The special seven letters belonging to Trabzon-Besikduzu region that written in between the years of 1932-1942, will be examined at this work for the first time. The first of these letters is belonging to 1932, the following five letters examined are belonging to 1942 and the last one is an undated letter. It will be achieved some inferences about social situation signified at the decennary process of Trabzon region and implicitly Anatolia from these letters. The letters including donnees about some mysteries at social life of late history, are pretty important with regard to the studies of history and culture. In this context, while examining the letters, it will be attempted to evaluate the contributions to history and the historicism. The letters written at the period of 1932-1942 make possible to comparison with its recent situation, while informing about the social life of Trabzon region. It is thought that the letters are important to make sense of the social evolution meaning eighty-year period in the region and Turkey. There are many donnees will contribute to the history, literature, sociology and the folk at the seven letters examined. After the Alphabet Reform in 1928, the subjects are formed the content of the letters that examined in this study like the culture of correspondence belonging to the last period of Ottoman perseveratived for years at the country side in point of the content and form, the soldiery in Turkey and its transformation of the education achieved at military service to the career at civilian life, husbandry and transhumance, the production of hazelnut, wheat and corn at region, famine encountered, drought and epidemics and their effects for the public.
