Abstract:

In this study, the importance of production planning in the business will be emphasized and the linear programming technique will be studied from the techniques used in solving problems in this field and will be applied in a costume business. The mathematical model of the production planning problem with the quantitative data of the limit sources (machine, labour, raw materials) of a costume company that works according to the order and performs product production in many variations has been established by the linear programming approach. The established mathematical model is resolved in the package program WinQSB 1.0 and the goal function is that the maximum profit will be achieved by the company’s production of a single type of product or by the ordering of more. In the production planning analysis made with the existing resources of the clothing company, any change in these sources has been given to the sensitivity analysis in the study to measure the impact of the change, which is the purpose function. As a result of the sensitivity analysis of each production period (month, year), theoretical and practical, it is seen that the target function of each unit increase in the amount of raw materials is 14 TL. When the costume business is made according to the order, it is concluded that the company can meet more orders with the machine and the workforce source it possesses.
