Abstract:

The increasing amount of workers’ currencies has been interested by governments and researchers in recent years. Workers’ currencies, which are an important financial source for developing countries, have a positive or negative impact on economic growth in the country where they come. In the literature there is no consensus on the way the labour currency affects economic growth. The aim of this study is also to question the direction of the potential impact of workers’ income on growth. The study found a positive relationship between workers’ currencies and growth. Other variables in the model and determining growth are inflation rate, public spending and external debt. The trade transparency rate is not statistically meaningful.
