Turkey is a very risky country in terms of earthquake, especially experienced severe losses in the 1999 Kocaeli and Düzce earthquakes shows that Turkey was unprepared for earthquake. The minimum conditions for a building have been regulated by the 2007 Earthquake Regulation. According to the Regulation, all new buildings must design to fulfill these conditions and existing buildings must provide them. Therefore, reinforcement issue has come to the agenda. The objectives of this research are to examine factors that affect the reinforcement cost and to measure effects of them on building cost ratio. The data set consist of 385 questionnaires was analyzed by factor and regression analysis by using SPSS.20 statistical packet program. As a result of the research, it is seen that the effects of the quality, location and age of a building are effective on the building cost ratio.
