Cumhuriyet döneminin önemli romancılarından biri olan Reşat Nuri Güntekin, aynı zamanda öğretmendir. Bu yönüyle, romanlarında, kendi döneminin eğitim problemlerini yoğun bir kurgu ağı içinde dolaylı olarak dile getirmektedir. Yazarın özellikle ‘Çalıkuşu’ romanında vurguladığı eğitim problemleri, aslında 84 yıllık bir zaman dilimi içinde gözlemlenen Türkiye’deki eğitim sorunlarının hâlâ devam ettiğini de göstermektedir. Araştırma söz konusu romanı “dışa dönük edebiyat eleştirisi yöntemiyle” eğitim sorunları açısından incelemeyi amaçlamaktadır.
Reşat Nuri Güntekin, one of the important novelists of the Republic period, is also a teacher. In this regard, in his novels, he indirectly expresses the educational problems of his time within an intense fictional network. The educational problems the author especially emphasizes in the novel 'Caliquish' also show that the educational problems in Turkey, which are actually observed within a 84 year period of time, are still ongoing. The study aims to study the novel "with the method of external literary criticism" in terms of educational problems.
