This research has been undertaken to determine the relationship among psychological empowerment, certain demographic variables and organizational commitment. A total number of 223 bank administrators, working in public and private sectors, including branch managers, vice managers and chiefs were evaluated through a questionnaire. Statistical analysis of the data revealed that organizational commitment has a significant relation with gender, managerial position, years of experience but not with educational level. Furthermore, perception of psychological empowerment and organizational commitment were found to be strongly related.
