In current researches, the distinction between transformational and transactional leadership has been made and their relations with various organizational outcomes have been examined. In this study, the relationship between transformational and transactional leadership and subordinates’ job satisfaction and the role of trust in the leader were analyzed. Data were collected from 152 employees. The results indicate that transformational leadership effected subordinates’ job satisfaction. Trust in the leader was found to be one of the most important variables in transformational leadership. Also, trust in the leader was found to be an intervening variable between transformational leadership and subordinates’ job satisfaction.
