Abstract:

This study discusses the influence of unofficial marriages on poverty. Unofficial marriages lead to non-registered way of life and deepen poverty. Such marriages are significant in that they constitute the beginning a vicious circle that may make poverty the fate of future generations. In this study issues such as well-being and socio-economic status of families as well as religious marriage, sex, sexual values and problems concerning the legal/legislative structure are analyzed. This presentation can be taken as a picture of how unofficial marriages turns poverty into inheritance. The main aim of the present study is to point to the dramatic effects of such marriages, which also intersect with early marriages, upon life quality and thus contribute to possible solutions to the problem.
