Comparison of Analytic Hierarchy Process and TOPSIS Methods in Personnel Selection Process: An Empirical Study in Automative Industry The aim of this study is to measure the effectiveness of multi criteria decision making methods, Analytic Hierarchy Process and TOPSIS (Technique for Order of Preference by Similarity to Ideal Solution), in personel selection process. In this context, the personnel selection study has been applied in a company operating in the automotive sector. Six engineers, who started working in the last one year in this company, have been evaluated with Analytic Hierarchy Process and TOPSIS methods seperately, subsequently the ranking results have been compared with their performance points. According to the comparison, Analytic Hierarchy Process method has the least deviation and it is stated that Analytic Hierarchy Process method is more effective under these criteria and alternatives for the company
