Abstract:

Conventional economics’ thought of the ultimate aim of the life as “acquiring maximum economic profit” and the motivation as “eagerness for money and individual satisfaction”; is contrary to the Divine Religions’ proclamation that the goal of the human in the universe is to worship God. For the humans who have come to earth for a specific purpose, every behavior and choice among “good” and “evil” will be taken into consideration, in their economic lives as well. According to the Conventional economics’ mentality, the assumption of homo economicus’ nonsatiation which means that “humans always prefer more over less even if they obtain the amount adequate for themselves (“covetousness”)”, is based on individualism and materialistic hedonism principles of the Pagan ideas of the Ancient age philosophy. One of the impacts of “the strong always crush the weak” principle of the world view that proposes to exterminate all the kinds of prejudice, most of all religious ones, that hinder the aim of reaching the happiness and to dominate the society by refusing any obstacle and to exploit the society in service of his/her own desires, is nonsatiation axiom of homo economicus assumption in economics. According to the enunciations of Judaism, Christianity and Islam, respectively, “someone who loves opulence will not be satisfied with any gain”; “love of money as the root of all evil”; “rational individual is who restrains himself and endeavors for the hereafter”; it can be said that the nonsatiation -“covetousness” axiom of the homo economicus assumption is a trap
