In this study, it is aimed to state the subject fields, chapters, methods and approaches applied, studied dependent and independent variables according to years in the master's and doctorate science education theses written between 2001-2013. Document review method is used in the examining of the theses. The data obtained from this study is analyzed according to the categorical analysis technique of content analysis which is one of the types used in qualitative researches. One of the secondary data collection sources, the "thesis scanning'' is used and it has been benefited from Publication and Documentation Department of YÖK (Council of Higher Education) Thesis Center Database. Theses which will be examined in this study are selected from the theses registered in "YÖK" database and carried out in the department of elementary education and science education. 225 theses are reached. However, it is decided to examine 216 theses. When analyzing data; thesis are classified according to the type of working areas, working units, methods and models, the dependent and independent variables were examined. Results of the investigation matters the most and the least studied areas, units, methods and models used, dependent and independent variables were identified
