So many results that aren't mine?

Abstract:

In this study, scale development steps were followed to improve “Attitudes Toward Uncertainty Scale”. For this purpose by the help of leading experts in the department of Guidance and Counseling, item pool was created. These items submitted for the opinion of leading experts in the department of Guidance and Counseling and Psychology, after received feedback from these experts by making their quire delamination 40-item form was obtained. Created this new form, written in the form of a draft five-point Likert-type scale and applied to 237 students from the Faculty of Education of Ondokuz Mayis University in the spring semester of 2014. At the end of this application based on the obtained data factor load were analyzed by exploratory factor analysis. Load values below .40 and load on multiple factors which value they receive notice of .10 and below 25-item were removed from the scale. According to findings of the analysis, a 15-item scale was obtained. In order to test the validity of the Attitudes Toward Uncertainty Scale, scale applied to 304 student of the Faculty of Education of Ondokuz Mayis University along with Intolerance of Uncertainty Scale (Sarı, Dağ; 2009) and relations between the scales were examined. Accordingly there is a significant positive correlation between the Attitudes Toward Uncertainty Scale and Intolerance of Uncertainty Scale (r = .85, p < .01) and the internal consistency coefficient was found to be α = .89. According to all the data obtained, we can say that the developed Attitudes Toward Uncertainty Scale, is a valid and reliable scale that can be used to determine the level of uncertainty of individuals
