Abstract:

Poverty is the condition of people who lack of adequate income and lack of minimum standard of living. Poverty is being away from the standarts of high quality life. There is not a single right definition of poverty and it is a multi-dimensional concept. Concept of poverty, which emerged out of various reasons, has now been regarded differently from its classic understanding. Within the process of globalization, the meanings and the methods of fight against the poverty are due to change. Different concepts is produced in order to explain poverty such as absolute-relative, objective-subjective, income poverty-human poverty, urban-rural poverty, working poor and women poverty or feminization of poverty.
