There is a considerable amount of literature which points out the fact that globalization appeared at the beginning of 1980s, following neo-liberalism that had become standard paradigm in mainstream economics and financial globalization give way to redistribution of income globally. According to neo-liberal paradigm that takes its root out of Smithian and Ricardian tradition, there is a solid conflict of interests between labor and capital, and in the final analysis an increase in profit can only be realized with a fall in wage. The economic and financial crises that capitalist world has faced for last thirty years have deepened the so-called conflict and have redistributed income. The aim of this paper is to investigate the impact of neo-liberal policies on the labor share in national income in selected OECD countries. Evidence suggests that neo-liberalism has made the labor share in national income fall and redistributed income at the expense of labor income in the selected OECD countries
