Abstract:

In this study, an attempt is formed to identify common motifs which build Turkish identity and culture. About this issue, epics which are resources of Turk public written literature and other literature articles which are main sources of Turkish culture are utilized. Heroes which were mentioned in these literature, tracks and effects on literature and public life are studied. It is an important to identify common codes of Turkish identity and culture and to specify stages of changing and improvement. Before investigation of changing and differentiation, common elements of Turkish culture should be identified. For this purpose, first of all, theoretical knowledge is investigated with helping of sources of culture, literature and history
