Abstract:

      Romanticism is the an art movement which plays a key role in art, literature, philosophy and in the traditional culture of the society -the art community that emerged afterwards 18th century in England, France and Germany tried to carry mind into life as an immense force. The movement had its most important moments between 1790-1850. Romanticism, which raised as an opposition to Classicism, dwells such as savagery, attraction, sensuality, excessiveness, imaginariness and it took on a dramatic way of description. Authors such as J. J. Rousseau, A. W. Schlgel, Goethe, Schiller; painters such as Constable, Turner, Corot, J. Thomson,Thomas Gray, W. Collins; poets such as Tieck, W. Cowper, W. Blake became the Pioneer artists of Romanticism movement through putting forward the first romantic themes. The movement of Romanticism especially had an impact in Europe and made its way to whole world. Romanticism, which had different developments in each country, had set the fundemantals of new understandings in the art of literature, music and painting. After the invention of photography, Romanticism also demonstrated its influence its influence in the art of photography. This study examines the influence of Romanticism on photography, as well as on painting and literature, based on the work of photographers whose style are influenced by Romanticism.
