The purpose of this study was to examine the attitudes of pre-service teachers towards teaching profession regarding different variables. The research was carried out through the descriptive scanning model since it was aimed to determine the current situation. The universe of the research consists of students enrolled in the teacher training program at Fırat University. The sample was randomly selected from 283 students enrolled in the program during the 2016-2017 academic year. A 35-item Teacher Profession Attitude Scale developed by Çetin (2006) was used as data collection tool. The scale used in the research was prepared in the form of five likert-types. In this study, the Cronbach Alpha coefficient for the whole scale was calculated as ,846. The attitudes of the students towards the teaching profession were compared according to their favorite lesson, gender, class level, faculty variables and university variables that they had studied / graduated.It was found that the students’ attitudes towards the teaching profession did not differ in terms of gender, class level, faculty.
