Abstract:

Attacking someone’s pride, honour and prestige by way of imputing a concrete action or fact which will have might hurt his/her pride, honour and prestige has been arranged as insult crime according to the 125th. article of the Turkish Penal Code. Nowadays, internet that occupies a very important place in ‘human beings’ daily life has been bringing not only countless benefits but some damages as well. One of these damages is the increase within the crimes comitted via internet. Internet which adresses to the huge groups has been making easy and increase lots of crimes to be committed. The insult crime itself is a crime which might be committed easily with the internet means. It is highly possible to come across some problems in investigation and judgment since serious difficulties might have appeared in defining the guilty and proving the crime. This study, investigates the form of the insult crime comitted via internet.
