TRC 2 bölgesi (Şanlıurfa ve Diyarbakır) 1980’li yıllardan beri yaşanan şiddet ortamından dolayı gerek ekonomik gerekse de sosyo-kültürel açıdan önemli sorunlar yaşayan bir bölge olarak karşımıza çıkmaktadır. Bu çalışma çözüm sürecinin 2009-2014 döneminde TRC 2 bölgesine (Şanlıurfa ve Diyarbakır) ekonomik katkılarını araştırmak amacı ile yapılmıştır. Çalışmada 2009 - 2014 dönemleri arasındaki dış ticaret verileri, ihracatçı firma sayısı, ithalatçı firma sayısı, kamu yatırımları, banka sayıları ve mevduat toplamı, tarımsal üretim verileri ve istihdam verileri incelenmiştir. Çalışmanın sonucunda 2009-2014 döneminde TRC 2 bölgesinin çözüm sürecinden genel olarak pozitif etkilendiği görülmüştür.
The TRC 2 region (Shanlıurfa and Diyarbakır) has come to us as a region with significant socio-cultural problems due to the violence that has been experienced since the 1980s. This study was conducted with the aim of investigating the economic contributions to the TRC 2 region (Shanlıurfa and Diyarbakır) during the 2009-2014 period of the solution process. The study examined the external trade data between 2009 and 2014, the number of exporting companies, the number of importing companies, public investments, the number of banks and the sum of deposits, agricultural production data and employment data. The study found that in the period 2009-2014 the TRC 2 region was generally positively affected by the solution process.
