Although different political, social and geographical conditions set the authors of different periods apart, a common notion of art may bring them together. In that regard Abdulhak Hamid Tarhan and Kirghiz poet Alikul Osmonov who are both known as nature poets can be viewed as two important poets with similarities in their love and comprehension of nature. Therefore it is possible to track similarities between the poems of Alikul Osmonov and those of Hamid who was a pioneer in Turkish literature with his distinctive approach to nature. Osmonov’s poems are particulary different from those of Hamid in that in Osmonov the concept of nature leads to other notions such as hard work and labour, loving nature means loving one’s motherland and nature serves as a means of education of the new generation. On the other hand both poets portrayed nature as a pastoral picture, praised nature and symbolized it for philosophical concepts such as death and fate
