Iran has survived despite the fact that there have been some alterations since 1924. According to some sources, the understanding of Shiah Islam paved the way to South Azerbaijan Turks in their integration to the new system in Iran after 1979 Islamic Revolution. However, nationalist tendencies have highly be- come widespread and institutionalized among South Azerbaijan Turks especially after the founding of Republic of Azerbaijan. So this question arises: how will the relations between South Azerbaijan Turks and Persian ethnic group shape? In this paper, the consequences of South Azerbaijan Turks’s simultaneous expose to Shiah Islam and Turkish nationalism will be defined and the question about the future of South Azerbaijan Turks will be answered
