Özet:

Proverbs are the sayings that the societies have gained as a result of long experiences. They are great ways of expressions that societies encode their value judgments, mentalities most obviously and shortly. Although the proverbswhich are one of the most important elements of Turkish oral culture showtrivial differences in the whole Turkish world, it is clear that they fed from thesame way of thinking and lifestyle. In this study, 114 proverbs in total of theSunghur Turks which is a part of the Turkish world were analyzed. The proverbsgathered from informants in the Sunghur city that is connected to Kermanshahstate of Iran in August 2010 were briefly analyzed in terms of their structural and semantic characteristics, and at the end of the paper they were allalphebetically put in order. Near the Sunghur proverbs whose transcriptionswere made in Italian letters were given their Turkish Turkish correspondences inbrackets
