The Book of Dede Korkut, by common consent among literary enthusiasts and experts, is one of the most important works of Turkish literature and considered to be an important milestone in Turkish fictional literature in the transition from epics to novels. Dede Korkut Stories, with their narration and style, left an indelible mark on all branches of Turkish literature. One such body of work where effects of Dede Korkut Stories are visible is Iranian Turkish stories and novels. It is possible to find traces of Dede Korkut stories in Iranian Turkish literature, especially in short stories and novels, which for various reasons did not complete their evolution. These traces are visible in fictional setup, narration, style, form, and functional elements. More specifically, it is possible to find traces of Dede Korkut Stories in the short stories and novels of Genceli Sebahi, Ali Tebrizî, Ali Daşgın, Ali Rıza Zihak, Eyvaz Taha, Nasır Menzuri, Hamid Ahmedî and Rıza Kâzımı.
