Abstract Modernite veya modernlik, tarihsel kökleri itibariyle Rönesans ve Reform hareketlerine kadar geri götürülebilip esas itibariyle on yedinci yüzyıldan sonra Batı Avrupa ülkelerinde gelişip daha sonra öteki Avrupa ülkeleri, Kuzey Amerika ve zaman içinde başta Japonya olmak üzere dünyanın öteki ülkelerine, kısmen öykünülerek kısmen de dayatılarak belli ölçülerde yayılan toplumsal, ekonomik, siyasal ve kültürel yönleriyle geleneksel toplum biçimlerinden ayrışan ve radikal bir biçimde değişen yeni bir dünya görüşü ve yaşam biçimi örüntüsünün adıdır.
Abstract Modernity or modernity is the name of a new world view and lifestyle model that can be brought back to the Renaissance and Reform Movements from its historical roots and which is mainly developed in the Western European countries after the 17th century and then imposed on other European countries, North America and in time, mainly Japan, to the other countries of the world, and is partly historically and partly distracted from the traditional forms of society with its social, economic, political and cultural aspects spread to a certain extent and is radically changing.
