Abstract enThe purpose of this article is to emphasize studentsâ individual differences in the learning process. Kolbâs experiential learning model based on studentsâ individual learning preferences (learning styles) is examined. The study is intended to provide answers to the following questions: What is the experiential learning model? What are the principal characteristics of experiential learning model? What is the effect of the experiential learning model in science education? Teachers should take into account studentsâ individual learning differences and design the appropriate instructional environment. As a result it is asserted that student achievement can be improved by teaching in accordance with their learning styles.
