Abstract enOne of the purposes of science education is to make students learn concepts meaningfuly. Photosynthesis is one of the most important concept hard to be understood in biology. The purpose of this study is to investigate the effects of computerâ"based instruction to overcome studentsâ misconceptions related to photosynthesis at the last year of lycee. This study was implemented in two different classes of the same teacher with 53 students in a normal lycee in central Trabzon. The misconceptions were found out through a test including 13 open-ended and multiplechoiced questions. The test was given to the two groups as a pretest and a posttest. It was found that CBI is more effective than traditional method on remediating studentsâ misconceptions related to photosynthesis.
