Abstract enIn this study, curriculum development in the field of biology were investigated in Turkey, UK and USA. The study consists of two parts. Firstly, the study of curriculum development in Turkey was examined in general with literature review. Then, it was focused on the education systems which have been practiced on the secondary schools since the establishment of Turkey Republic State, and with changes in these education systems, variations on biology curriculum. In the second part of study, the curriculum developing studies in biology in foreign countries examined. In this part, Biological Sciences Curriculum Study (BSCS) of USA and Nuffield Biology Projects of UK were searched.
