Abstract:

Abstract enThis study, researched on the characteristic levels has been carried out on the students living in The Orphanage For The Protection of Children in Erzurum. The sixty students living in this orphanage have been the examples of this research. İn confirming of the psychological characteristic levels of the students, G.S.İ. and 10 sub-dimension of SCL-90-R (Psychological Characteristic Stading List) improved with the help of inventory known as Hopkins Symptom Check (HSCL) by Derogatis and his friends has been used. The data have shown that the students general characteristic levels have been high. It has been understood that in point of characteristic levels, the additional subject including the guiltiness, sleeplessness and the aneorexia that the students have as the highest points derived from the characteristic levels. Appearantly, the students haven’t been in complexity as to the dimension of the characteristic levels of somatization and phobic anksiety. The points of interpersonal sensitivity, depression, anksiety, hostility, obsessive-compulsive, paranoid, psikotism and additional characteristic dimentional levels are high that the students are in complexity as to the features including these dimensions has appeared as a result of this research.
