Abstract enIn education, behaviorists concentrate on outcomes. These outcomes might be defined as observable and measurable changes in human behavior. The goal of primary education is not only to change the human behavior, but also attitude change. Attitude researchers who investigate an intangible process are often ignored by behavioral scientists. Attitudes are intangible tendencies which guide the behaviors of students. On the other hand, cognitive theory, constructivism, and situated learning are process oriented and they explain attitude changes much more effectively than does behaviorism. Situated learning is derived from situated cognition focusing on attitudes. Situated learning is the learning of knowledge, skill and attitude in a context. This context could be an authentic context or a virtual copy of that context. Authentic context which provides with students the use of abstract knowledge in the concrete environments. Designing situated learning environments in elementary classrooms makes the learning more effective.
