Abstract enThe aim of the research is to examine the relationship related to the learning success and the attendance of 95 students in the second grade of Mathematics Department of Kocaeli University. The made âcorrelationâ and âregressionâ analyses show us that the level of the studentsâ attendance and the points that they have gained in their achievement test may differ from subject to subject according to the contents. On the other hand, the ât-testâ analysis and attendance of the students in one term and the level of their success at the end of the term has been compared with the given importance to them by the students. This comparison proved us that the students who donât believe that attendance is important have more absence and because of the result of this, their learning level is lower than the others. Furthermore 30.5 % of the students in the research have more absence than the others because they donât believe the importance of the attendance.
