Abstract Özet: Bu çalışmada hasta-hekim ilişkisinde önemli bir faktör olan hasta hekim iletişimi ve hastaların hekimlerin kendileri ile kurdukları iletişimden memnuniyet düzeyleri incelenmektedir. Bu kapsamda ilgili yazında yer alan “hekimlerin iletişim biçiminden memnuniyet” anketleri dikkate alınarak özgün 30 ifadelik bir soru formu tasarlanmış (α : 0,93) ve İstanbul ile Bursa da faaliyet gösteren 4 özel 6 kamu hastanesinde ayakta tedavi gören 600 hasta üzerinde uygulanmıştır. Yürütülen analizler hastaların doktorların kurdukları iletişimden genel memnuniyet düzeyinin düşük olduğunu ve bölgeler açısından istatistiki olarak anlamlı farklılığın olduğunu göstermektedir. Bulgular ayrıca özel hastanede tedavi gören hastaların, devlet hastanelerinde tedavi gören hastalara göre hekimlerin iletişiminden daha memnun olduklarına ve deneklerin cinsiyetlerinin de memnuniyet düzeyleri üzerinde etkili olduğuna işaret etmektedir. Abstract: This study investigates patient’s satisfaction with their physicians’ communication style with them. In this framework based on related literature authors drawled a 30 item original survey for measuring physicians’ communication- satisfaction questionnaire. The data collected for this study is provided 600 outpatient’s from 4 pay and 6 public hospitals which were located in İstanbul and Bursa. The results showed that patient’s satisfaction with their physicians’ communication style was low and regions results were statistically differentiate with each other. Findings also indicated that pay hospital patient were more satisfied than public hospital’s patient where gender of patient was important factor that effected communication satisfaction.
