Abstract enIn this research; the aim was experiment the effectiveness of creative drama method in social studies lessons on students’ cognitive achievement and affective attitudes. In order to make this real; sampling group was chosen among the students in Van Beyüzümü 80.Yıl Elementary School. The research was limited to the unit named “Geography and Earth” in social studies. The sub-problem questions tried to be answered on an experimental group and a control group. The findings showed that the achievement and attitude scores of experimental group were higher than the control group has, because of using creative drama instruction method in the experimental group rather than the control group
