How to "Remove" Family Enterprises: Problem, Solutions and Recommendations in the Context of İdeals and Realities

Abstract enFamily businesses are confronted as an area that has been studied / studied extensively during the academic and implementation process. In the study, family business was examined in the context of an academic indicator, pioneer and decisive tool, and studies were tried to be analyzed in terms of problem-solution causality. The conceptual structure of seventy-two postgraduate theses reached in the analysis process and the literature have been taken into consideration and it has been attempted to understand what problem is being investigated. The important part of analysis and evaluation within the scope of the master's thesis consists of graduate studies, while almost all of this thesis have been made in the field of business. Despite the differences in the studies discussed in the definition of family enterprises, the concepts of ownership, management and control are emphasized in particular. On the other hand, concepts such as continuity/sustainability and delegation of authority are among the few recurring concepts. Again, family and culture are among the important concepts dealt with in this process. In the theses examined, it is observed that researchers see the basic problem of family businesses or "salvation" in institutionalization. This is followed by issues such as generation conflict, sustainability, authority transfer, professional management, organizational commitment, leadership, strategy, and financial problems. When we look at the solutions presented and the recommendations, institutionalization is expressed as a solution to many problems. This is followed by concepts that will contribute to organizational commitment and leadership (a factor that reduces conflict), unity, integrity and sustainability, such as transfer management, family council or family constitution.
