Abstract:

The aim of this research is to study the validity and reliability of the Turkish form of the Individual Development Initiative Scale (BGIO; Robitschek, 1998) . The study was carried out on 336 high school final class students. In the language equality study, the correlation ratio in the materials found in the Turkish and original forms of the BGIO was found between .72 and .82. In the opening factor analysis, it was found that 9 substances revealed 37% of the total variance and that the substances were gathered in one size. The measurement factor loads are ranged between .48 and .70, and the total correlation ratio is ranged between .37 and .57.In the verifying factor analysis, the one-dimensional model has been shown to be well aligned (RMSEA=.055, NFI=.96, CFI=.98, IFI=.98, GFI=.97, AGFI=.94). In the study of conformity validity, the individual development initiative has been found to be positively related to self-consciousness, sharing awareness and awareness. The BGÖ’s intolerance reliability ratio is .90, the test-up test reliability ratio is .94. Bus results indicate that the Turkish form of BGİÖ is a valid and reliable measurement tool.
