Abstract:

Abstract The aim of this study is to study the Facebook connection strategies and life satisfactions of university students. The study was conducted in the 2014-2015 academic year, and the research group of the study formed 281 university students. In this study, the purpose of the present situation is to describe, a relative scanning model from the scanning models has been used. The "Facebook Connecting Strategies Scale" has also been used to determine students' Facebook connection strategies, and the "Life Satisfaction Scale" has also been used to determine their lifetime satisfactions. The findings obtained from the research showed that there is a positive relationship between students’ life satisfaction and Facebook’s linking strategies (start, maintain and search for information). The research results also show that students’ connectivity strategies (start, maintain, and search for information) and their life satisfactions differ significantly according to the kind of school they learn, computer ownership and the time of use of Facebook. In addition, it shows that students’ Facebook connection strategies vary significantly by gender (start, maintain and information search subdimensions), internet ownership (start, maintain and information search subdimensions), the type of accommodation (start subdimensions) and the city where they come (information search subdimensions).
