Abstract:

Abstract enThe subject of this article is to evaluate the view that Shia was influenced by the Persian culture. In introduction, by emphasizing the existing of cultural interaction in the pre-Islamic history of Iran, it is addressed that Iranians had founded great civilizations such as Persian Empire. I have also pointed out the argument that the roots of political and religious movements emerged in Islamic world were searched in Iranian culture in sources. In Chapter One, I have taken some examples of the views of Eastern and Western scholars who are in favor of the argument. In Chapter Two, I have examined the fundamental opinions of these scholars.  Following the discussion on the opinions which are taken in two main groups, in conclusion I have argued my opinions on which Shia was influenced by Iranian culture.
