Abstract Ekonomik büyümeyi etkileyen çok sayıda değişken ve politika söz konusudur. Ekonomi politikaları içerisinde para politikasının ekonomik büyüme üzerindeki etkinliği iktisadi düşünce yaklaşımlarına göre farklılık gösterebilmektedir. Türkiye ekonomisinin sürdürülebilir ekonomik büyümeyi yakalayabilmesinde genelde ekonomi politikalarına özelde ise para politikasına büyük rol düşmektedir. Bu bağlamda, para politikasının, ekonomik büyümeyi olumlu etkileyecek şekilde yönetilmesi gerekmektedir. Bu çalışmanın temel amacı, Türkiye ekonomisi için, para politikasının ekonomik büyüme üzerindeki etkisini incelemek ve Türkiye ekonomisi için ekonomik büyümeyi destek olacak şekilde para politikası tasarımına yardımcı olmaktır. Çalışmada elde edilen temel sonuç, TCMB politika faizi ve ekonomik büyüme arasında kısa dönemde Granger nedensellik ilişkisi sözkonusu olmayıp, uzun dönemde ters yönde kointegrasyon ilişkisi sözkonusudur. Sonuç olarak uzun dönem ekonomik büyüme para politikası ile yönetilebilmektedir.
