Abstract enBu çalışmanın amacı takım ve bireysel spor yapan oyuncuların saldırganlık düzeylerinin, saldırganlığı etkileyen bazı faktörler açısından değerlendirilmesidir. Bu araştırmada İpek İlter (Kiper ) tarafından geliştirilen, 30 maddeden ve üç alt testten (yıkıcı saldırganlık, atılganlık ve edilgen saldırganlık) oluşturulmuş saldırganlık envanteri kullanılmıştır. Araştırmaya 120 (%50.0)’si takım sporları 120 (%50.0)’si bireysel spor yapan öğrencilerden toplam 240 sporcu katılmıştır. Çalışmada, bireysel spor yapan oyuncuların yıkıcı saldırganlık, edilgen saldırganlık ve genel saldırganlık ortalama puanları ile takım sporu yapan oyuncuların saldırganlık ortalama puanları arasında istatistiksel açıdan anlamlı bir fark tespit edilmiştir (p<0.05). Spor, bireyleri ve grupları karşılıklı bir rekabet ve yarışma içine sokar. Rakiple doğrudan teması gerektiren sporların takım sporlarına göre saldırganlığa ve şiddete daha yatkın oldukları görülmektedir Sporda çoğu zaman başarma, galip gelmeye eşanlamlı olarak düşünüldüğünden fiziksel davranışlardaki kontrolsüzlük bir yerde galip gelme amacına hizmet etmektedir.
